Love this. The drink order was absolutely a paid product placement for coke and Budweiser

😭 you’re probably right. I didn’t even think of that.

This is why one must yell, "Product placement!!" with the same enthusiasm as a car full of high schoolers squealing, "Punch bug!!" whenever a perfectly positioned brand shot flashes across the screen.

Chris Evans in a Luca Guadagnino - something I’d never considered but now that it’s been presented to me, I want it!

PS - I want to go into the movie somewhat blind (I haven’t seen the trailer) but I’ll be back to read this definitive review in full once I’ve watched 🫡

Right? We could’ve had him in Call Me By Your Name (imagine it anyway). Remember Dakota in Suspiria? Insane. Must manifest 🧘🏻‍♀️

It's such a silly take! I get not wanting to date someone totally broke and unmotivated to change that (all of the reasons I mentioned in the piece). But this deep cynicism and generally ambient nihilism about *everything* is not it!

“Even if the final fight over eating at a good restaurant for their anniversary takes place in Times Square, where there are no such restaurants.”

Ok, I’ve liked both of your pieces now that I have read.

But the above pushed me over the line and got me to subscribe..
